It was lovely to meet everyone.  I must explain to them that I am not ignorant, and that my hearing is very bad, have had a cochlear implant, only ‘switched on’ last Thursday, so am still learning to recognise the sound as speech.  I will get there!
I will see you next week – I may give the stick section a miss for a while until I get the other bit right first!

Don’t worry about people may think that you are ignorant. You will slot in un-noticed 🙂
